Resource Mobilization

The assistance given by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will be more in the nature of catalyst to motivate the YDC members to undertake the job of building the Centre and with the support under take activities. It is expected that Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan would also contribute from their internal resources. Broadly, the resource mobilization by different agencies would be as follows :

YDC

YDC would contribute the building, playground, electricity, drinking water supply, basic furniture and other facilities created while functioning as YDC.

NYKS

From its internal and other resources will try to provide the following
• Sports Equipments
• Equipments for Cultural activities
• Vocational Training Equipments
• Different types of Information Education and Communication materials with special emphasis on developmental Schemes
• Books and Magazines

The Rural Information Technology Development Centre should be run in such a way that over a period of time, it becomes functionally active and self sufficient. It is expected that such Centre will explore possibilities to take assistance from other Government Departments, NGOs and funding agencies to organize programmes for the benefit of rural youth and village communities in the district. Similarly, the centre is free to charge monthly subscription from persons or member Youth Clubs using facilities.

There is no objection if the telephone facilities are used as public telephone booth, for which charges should be made according to the regulations.

The Centre with the prior approval of the Managing Committee and in consultation with the Advisory Committee (refer to para 10), may allow to use the premises to hold exhibitions in which commercial transactions can be made.
